廣西藝術學校創辦于1959年，原名廣西戲曲學校，1987年更名為廣西藝術學校。是一所公辦藝術類中等職業學校，是國家級重點中等職業學校、自治區示范特色學校、廣西中等職業學校民族文化技術技能人才培養培訓基地、廣西中等職業教育示范性實訓基地、自治區“衛生優秀學?！?、自治區首屆“文明校園”。建校以來，學校為各級各類專業文藝團體和社會各界培養輸送了近萬名藝術人才，有不少畢業生成為行業骨干和領軍人物，被譽為“壯鄉藝術家搖籃”?，F有教職員工200多人，在校學生1200多人。

　　學校目前開設有戲曲表演、雜技與魔術表演、舞蹈表演（中國舞、國標舞）、音樂表演（聲樂、器樂）、播音與節目主持、美術設計與制作等六大專業及十幾個專業方向，其中戲曲表演、雜技與魔術表演、舞蹈表演、音樂表演四個專業被廣西教育廳認定為自治區級示范專業。

The Introduction of Guangxi Art School

Guangxi Art School was founded in 1959, formerly known as Guangxi Opera School, and was renamed Guangxi Art School in 1987. It is an art secondary vocational school which was run by the state. It is a national key secondary vocational school, a demonstration characteristic school of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, talents training base of ethnic culture and skills, demonstration training base of Guangxi secondary vocational education. It is also recognized as an "Excellent School of Health" and "Civilized Campus".  Since the found of 58 years, it has trained thousands of artistic talents for all kinds of professional artistic organizations and social groups, some of them become primary and leaders during their areas. It is known as the "cradle" of ZhuangXiang artists. There are more than 200 teaching staff members and over 1,200 students.

The school has six main majors and a dozen professional directions: Traditional Opera Performance, Acrobatics & Magic Performance, Dance Performance (including Chinese Dance and Ballroom Dance), Music Performance (including Vocal Music and Instrumental Music), Broadcasting & Programme Hosts and Art Design. There are four majors have been recognized as a demonstration major in the autonomous region by Education Department of Guangxi, which including Traditional Opera Performance, Acrobatics & Magic Performance, Dance Performance, and Music Performance.

The school is adhering to the motto "A person should have deep morals and wide-ranging artistic abilities, and keep the unity of knowledge and action." It emphasizes on the school quality and highlights the school characteristics. It also gains a lot achievements. There are more than 300 provincial and ministerial awards, including 1 international gold award and 2 international silver awards.
